Mastering is the last step before your release lands
Your mix is right. The balance works, the vocals sit where they belong. But between a good mix and a release that sounds like the tracks in your favourite playlist there's one more step: the master.
In the master I lift the whole to the level where it has to compete. Clear loudness, a low-end that stays tight, highs that stay open without getting harsh — all without flattening the energy or dynamics.
With credits on platinum releases I know how a master has to translate on every system, from earbuds to a big club rig.

The first version comes in and we fine-tune until it's right. Two revision rounds are included as standard.
Final delivery
Every format you need: streaming, 16-bit for CD, plus instrumental and clean versions.

What's the difference between mixing and mastering?+
In mixing I bring all the separate stems into one coherent whole. Mastering is the final step after that: that single stereo mix gets the last balance, loudness and polish so it holds up everywhere.
How do I deliver for mastering?+
A stereo mixdown in WAV or AIFF, 24-bit, with ±6 dB of headroom and no limiter on the master. See the "How to deliver" section for the full spec.
What loudness do you master to?+
I master to what the track needs and where it lands — streaming, club and vinyl each have their own ideal. Competitive in loudness, but without losing the dynamics and punch.
Can you master someone else's mix?+
Yes. As long as the mix is good and there's enough headroom, I also master mixes that aren't mine.
Do you do stem mastering?+
Yes. Deliver a few groups (stems) instead of one stereo mix and I get more grip on the balance — handy when the mix isn't quite there yet.
How many revision rounds are included?+
Two revision rounds come standard with every master. In practice that's plenty.
Do you also master for vinyl or CD?+
Yes. Alongside the streaming master I deliver separate masters for vinyl (with the right prep) and 16-bit versions for CD.
